Responsibilities
- Assist the office and projects in evaluating, designing water drilling & supply works, their audit and follow-up.
- Draft the electrical technical specifications and amend them if necessary;
- Prepare the consultation documents for companies in accordance with the procedures of the UNDP;
- Validate the DAs for the recruitment of an office(s) for technical assistance in supervision and control of water supply works, realization and rehabilitation of wells;
- Validate the DAs for the supply, installation of manual pump and construction of well curb for wells;
- Provide advice and follow-up of the process;
- Participate in the preparatory and explanatory meeting with potential bidders on the selection process;
- Participate in the organization of preparatory meetings for the works with the retained bidder;
- Organize periodic visits and draft stage reports;
- Certify the payments of the bidder;
- Organize the final reception with the representatives of the UNDP;
- Expertise of the installations/buildings of eventual old projects in this field for the definition of the specifications and the putting into standards of the installations;
- Any other task related to AEV and drilling works;
Expected actions for each mission
- Support the design of projects in the field of AEV and drilling;
- Efficiently follow-up of projects/delivery/construction in Hydraulics;
- Provide quality advisory support.
Expected deliverables for each mission
- Technical specifications;
- A final report for each mission to accompany its payment request.
Organizational structure
The Specialist in Hydraulics will be placed under the direct supervision of the Operations Officer and the Procurement Officer of the UNDP but collaborates closely with the BTP Project Support Unit identified within the framework of an external intervention to the Buildings of the UNDP.
The UNDP has the intellectual property and other property rights on all materials directly related to the project. The company works with the project staff, technical specialists, individual consultants and the homologues of the beneficiary government institution, as well as with other national institutions, non-governmental organizations and other relevant actors.

Minimum qualifications of successful NPSA
| Minimum academic qualification | Hold a degree in hydraulic engineering or equivalent or Master's degree |
| Minimum years of relevant professional experience | Have at least 7 years (if Engineer) of proven experience in the realization of similar works (Relevant professional experience in general hydraulic project) and 8 years of experience if Master's degree |
