Responsibilities
- Assist the office and projects in evaluating, designing, auditing, and following up on electrical work.
- Prepare technical electrical and solar installation plans and amend them as necessary.
- Prepare technical purchase and installation plans for generators and amend them as necessary.
- Prepare consultation documents for companies in the field according to PNUD procedures.
- Provide advice and follow up on the process.
- Participate in preparatory and explanatory meetings with potential providers on the selection process.
- Participate in the organization of preparatory meetings with the selected provider.
- Organize periodic site visits and write progress reports.
- Certify payments to the provider.
- Organize the final reception with PNUD representatives.
- Expertise of installations/bâtiments of previous projects in this domain for the definition of specifications and the normalization of installations.
- Follow up on office providers in identifying and correcting incidents on electrical, solar, and air conditioning equipment.
- Expertise of PNUD installations and projects for the definition of good practices and the normalization of installations.
- Any other task related to electrical work and equipment.
Expected Actions for Each Mission
- Provide support in designing projects in the field of electrical and energy engineering.
- Efficiently follow up on energy electrical delivery/construction projects.
- Provide high-quality advisory support.
Expected Deliverables for Each Mission
- Technical specifications.
- A final report for each mission to accompany the payment request.
Organizational Structure
The Electrical Energy Specialist will report directly to the Operations Manager and the Procurement Officer of PNUD but will collaborate closely with the BTP Project Support Unit identified within the framework of an external intervention to PNUD buildings.
PNUD has the intellectual property and other property rights to all materials directly related to the project. The company works with project staff, technical experts, individual consultants, and government beneficiary institution homologues, as well as other national institutions, non-governmental organizations, and other relevant actors.

Minimum Qualifications for Successful NPSA
| Minimum Academic Qualification |
Hold a degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, or equivalent Or Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following fields |
| Minimum Years of Relevant Professional Experience | Have at least 7 years (for engineers) or 8 years (for master's degree holders) of proven experience in similar work (Relevant professional experience in the field of electricity and energy in general) |
